The Funeral Service

All funeral services are individual and tailored to reflect the life of your loved one. Sometimes it may be difficult to know where to start and when we meet I will be able to offer you the guidance you need. You may already have in mind music, poems or readings etc. that are special that you wish to include in the service, but if not there are some suggestions on this website. As a helpful guide a typical service may include some or all of the following:

  • Entrance music - This would usually be played as the coffin is carried in and the mourners take their seats.

  • Poems / Readings / Hymns  / Prayers

  • Eulogy - a spoken tribute recalling the life of the deceased. This can be delivered by either yourself,  a family member, friend or myself if you would prefer.

  • Reflection music - a piece of music played during which the mourners would have the opportunity to sit, listen and reflect on their own special memories of their loved one.

  • Committal - The formal part of the service where your loved one's body is committed to be cremated / buried.

  • Exit music - a piece of music played at the end of the service as the mourners leave.

Please note - this is only a guide and, ultimately the choice is yours and together we will work to create the service that is right for you and your loved one.  I am happy to conduct either a non-religious or semi-religious service  as required.
